Two different Samantha Foxes.
No.
Yes. I'd post a link to the porn star database, but it wouldn't be appropriate for this forum, so I'll quote from the first paragraph instead:
"One of the all-time porn greats, Porn Star Samantha Fox should not be confused with the vapid mid-80's pop singer of the same name. No, this Samantha Fox was a beautiful brunette sex kitten who starred in over 100 features between 1978 and 1984, establishing herself as one of the top stars in the industry."
The singer, though, did do topless "page three"-type shots, though. Samantha Fox the singer was British, Samantha Fox the porn star was from New York.
Both Samantha Foxes have IMDB entries:
Samantha Fox the Porn Star (http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0001237/)
Samantha Fox the Singer (http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0289239/)
The research for this message was undertaken for the good of the community. :)
Sorry dude you are wrong.
There may be a porn star with the same name, but the page girl three from the 80's also most definitely sang the previously mentioned songs.
I will wage my left testicle on this.

Technically, we're both correct. I knew of the pr0n star, but since we were talking about the 'singer' and the b00bie picture poster, they were one and the same. The pr0n star was practically 40 when these songs were popular.

This is for the Canadians on watching this thread...
On Saturday, me and the boys went out to a local pub for some drinks. And the live band that was playing that night was called "Thread" and the lead singer of this band was Gord Deppe.. the lead singer of the Canadian 80s band called The Spoons. Not sure if The Spoons where popular in the US, but in Canada they were pretty big in the 80s.
Anyways, this 3 piece band ROCKED with a good mix of new and old 80s classics. They even played a rock versions of the classic Spoons songs... Nova Hearts, Romantic Traffic and Old Emotions.

Hey, interesting tidbit here. That guy's name is Mark Metcalfe. Animal House famous. His daughter owns a restaurant (EXCELLENT food, btw....Libby Montana's is the name) and he lives in my area. He does a DVD review and various pop-ins with the local yokel DJ team (www.lazer103.com (http://www.lazer103.com)), Bob & Brian.
Shape D, you should be able to catch them in the Madison area, can't remember the station...perhaps 100.5? I know the station is 100 X, so whatever the actual number is, you can figger it out. Mornings until 10.
I think you guys should all pool your resources and help me get the answers to the "You (still) Can't Win" daily trivia show. I'll split all the CD's in the CD Jackpot, someone can have the Palm Pilot, and whatever else they're giving away for winning, I'll split it out. There's no cash, just prizes.

I remember that song.. It was by the B-Sharps (B#)
B-Sharps: Baby on board, how I've adored,
That sign on my car's windowpane
A bounce in my step; loaded with pep,
'Cause I'm driving in the carpool lane.
Call me a square; friend, I don't care
That little yellow sign can't be ignored
I'm telling you it's mighty nice
Each trip's a trip to paradise
With my baby on board.

Are you refering to the guy from the video?
I get up to late to listen to Bob and Brain. Besides I listen to "The Brew" and WKLH

Commenting on various things from earlier.
Molly Ringwold was cute, not hot, there is a distinct difference between the two of them. Cute is more innocent and less sexual than hot. :police: I had a big crush on Molly Ringwold and still do (Kerry Green too, anyone remember her, very short career).
I STILL own a pair of underwear that are red and blue (superman color scheme), they have been in the regular rotation for like 10 years now. Although I have like 50 pairs of underwear, so they literally just seem to last forever. They are actually my lucky underwear, so I only wear them on special occasions. ;D

Kerri Green (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0338061/) still does work, though not in a while now. Last thing I saw her on was ER.

Every Friday night @ midnight....other theaters, select times only, and those losers frown on bringing "enhancements" to the show.....honest to Pete, that's the exact wording I read!

Although I have like 50 pairs of underwear, so they literally just seem to last forever. They are actually my lucky underwear, so I only wear them on special occasions. ;D
OK, first of all, I will NEVER be able to stop wondering if you were wearing your red/blue underwear when you made the trip up here, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THAT MENTAL IMAGE! Secondly, no one EVER needed to know ANYTHING about your underwear collection. Thirdly, c'mon, you CAN'T have "lucky" underwear. There are "gettin' lucky" underwear, the "wink wink nudge nudge" kind, and you've gotta have those stashed away for your wedding day, right.....that's rhetorical, WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT ANSWER THAT QUESTION! ;D Fourth, and lastly, as Santoro said, too much information.

Love and marriage,
Love and marriage,
Go together like a horse and carriage.
This, I tell you, brother,
You can't have one without the other.
Love and marriage,
Love and marriage,
It's an institute you can't disparage.
Ask the local gentry,
And they will say it's elementary.
Try, try,
Try to seperate them.
It's an illusion.
Try, try,
Try and you will only come to this conclusion.
Love and marriage,
Love and marriage,
Go together like a horse and carriage.
This was told by mother.
You can't have one,
You can't have none,
You can't have one without the other.

Do people count the 80s from 1981-1990 or from 1980-1989? I've seen it both ways. Personally I prefer the latter. That makes the first century only have 99 years, but they didn't put in a year zero, so it's not our problem.

I have absolutely no recollection of Tenspeed and Brown Shoe (then again, it was the 80's and I was a teenager...). I'm not sure it played up here in Canada. Do any other Canadian remember this show? They just changed their name to Velvet Revolver and got rid of that self centered egotistical singer....
...too bad the new singer is so terrible, I cannot listen to Velvet Revolver. The lyrics are nonsensical, you can't understand him anyway, and his voice is burned out and crappy. It's like they recorded him yelling gibberish alone, and then just mixed it with the instrument tracks later.
