I have three multigame projects in various stages and recently realized that my plans for the artwork on them were oddly different.
MultiPac -- I planned on normal PacMan artwork in a PacMan cabinet
MultiWilliams -- I planned on the Phoenix MW artwork in a Robotron cab
MultiExidy -- I was thinking of Cheyenne artwork in a Cheyenne cab
Getting new Cheyenne artwork is looking to be an expensive proposition and the last word I heard from tanman on the Phoenix MW artwork was that it is looking to be too expensive to produce at the order levels.
So, I started thinking about making up (or encouraging someone else to) artwork for the MultiExidy (based on the COLLEX'N theme in the Widel kit), but also wondered if I should just stay with original artwork for all of the cabs.
What do you think -- artwork from the original cab or new artwork themed for the multi ? These are all original cabinets with mostly original hardware.

Themed is cool, it's a decent compromise IMHO...however sounds like in your case, it's a tad cost prohibitive.

It depends on the game and your mood. My multipac is a pac man except for the Multipac marquee... which I am discovering I don't like. I think I am going to pick up a stock Pac Man marquee and drop it in there. On the other hand I made all new artwork for the Capcom Anthology cab I built around the Capcom CPSII multigame board...

if its an original cab, then original art, maybe a multiple game themed marquee or instruction card; it really depends on the multigame though.

I agree. I really like the muti-Williams artwork out there (Frizzle's in-particular). But I think a Pac cab looks better with Pac artwork.
