Super tease....photos soon! :afro:
When I got my TOM the metal ramps had been spray painted gold. They looked ok- but definitely not what I had in mind. I just sent them out to the famous Mike Chestnut in TN (man is that dude hard to find!) and holy cow. He lives up to his rep.
I'll post before and after photos soon- but suffice to say they shine like glass in a bright golden finish. I just reinstalled them tonight.
Also- I just picked up an excellent condition Stern Indy (INSERT PINJIM RANT HERE AS TO HOW MUCH STERN SUX, THE GAME SUX, I PAID TOO MUCH, AND MOVE ONTO NEXT PARAGRAPH).
I love it and have already picked up a few new parts to make it show room fresh including adding the optional shaker that I just picked up.
All in all a good week for me in pinball! :applaud:
....I now own TOM, Stern Indy, Stern Simpson's and Cyclone. My wife told me if I move out some other stuff (slots and Pachinko) I can get more pins as she likes these better than my other stuff like my video games.
A WINNER IS ME! 8)
Photos soon..... I promise. :burgerking:

Here's the after....they shine like glass!
More photos to come.

Man they look good. I'll bet the pictures don't do them justice.
They probably blind you while playing the game and you can't see the ball.
If you don't mind us asking, how much did they set you back?
-
The cost was $140 shipped...adding in my cost to ship to him- the total was $160.
-
That seems like a fair price doesn't it?
-
Looks great. I might be in the market for having this done. What all did he do to them?
-
I honestly don't know how he did it....but you can find him on Google-- Mike Chestnut, in TN.
He'll hook you up! :applaud:

Damn dude you live a good life
I'm going to contact your wire form resto guy for sure. How did you pack em? I'd hate for mine to get damaged/bent.

Loads of bubble wrap around the frames. Then I used a FedEx packing tube flattend around that. THEN - I put the whole mixture into two boxes (skinny ones) to accomodate the length of the ramps. Before I closed it up I put in foam peanuts at the top and bottom.
Over kill I know, but it all worked out. (I also shipped via FedEx with tracking and added insurance). :afro:
