Title: Making an RFM/SWEP1 combo plunger/launcher
Post by: jasonbar on July 03, 2012, 01:16:37 pm
Howdy-

I'm putting together a combination plunger & ball launcher for my Revenge From Mars/Star Wars: Episode I Pinball 2000 cabinet.

I've got the shooter rod assembly & a momentary NO pushbutton, but I'm unsure of which coil & hardware to use.

What is typically done with this mod?

Thank you,
-Jason

Just curious.  Why would you want that?  It's not like you can hot swap the game.  Do you want a real plunger for RFM?

It's slick.
It's fun.
It saves time when swapping the games.
It removes the need for any tools when swapping games.

I don't intend to use the plunger in RFM.

There's a product out there that adds a lit "Launch Ball" button underneath a normal plunger assembly, but that part I've got figured out already (and it's currently out of stock). I'm not the only person who wants to do this...

:]

Thanks,

I've done that swap multiple times.  It takes 3 minutes to swap the plunger.   ;D

By the time you figure out a solution you'll have used up enough time to swap the plunger a couple dozen times.

I didn't say it was rational or logical.

My argument was that it is slick & fun. :]
