Title: U360 + B350 (Ryzen) Working For Anyone?
Post by: DaveStall on June 16, 2018, 03:46:05 pm
I recently upgraded my cabinet PC to a B350 + 2200G (Ryzen).  Everything is working great except my Ultrasticks.  It almost seems like the USB controllers on the B350 chipset are incompatible with the U360s.  I have finally been able to "see" my two U360s in UltraMap after moving them to my only two USB 2.0 ports, but I don't get any actual position feedback from the sticks.  I can download maps into the sticks with about 70% success rate, but again there is no actual position feedback. This is all with a 100% fresh Win10 installation.

I can go into much greater detail, but before getting carried away I was hoping to hear if anyone has had success using these sticks on the newer AMD boards.  I have already contacted Andy at Ultimarc as well, just hoping for any other feedback.

I wanted to give a status update for the off chance that someone in future has the same issue.

My U360s were ordered right when they first came out.  At some point, the control board was updated to a different version.  I contacted Andy at Ultimarc and after some discussion back and forth I ordered the updated boards for my sticks.  Those new boards work perfectly with the Ryzen hardware.
