Hi,
I couldn't get to the groovy game gear site. Says the web certificate is expired.
-
If you ignore the error and proceed anyway, the site is there.
-
I wish there was an auto-renew for certificates, but apparently that's not a thing.
Renewed the certificate this morning. All back to normal now

I am doing a restore to a Nintendo cabinet.
I want to look at some joystick options. For now it's just gonna have a 60-in-1 board in it but I want to keep it vertical angles just select group of games. But I'm also going to go quality for the controls.

You can look into getting a Let's encrypt cert, https://letsencrypt.org/. They are free and are issued for 3 months, but they do auto renew when you create them with one of the tools https://letsencrypt.org/docs/client-options/

I appreciate the heads up! For now though, I think I prefer the simplicity and peace of mind that comes with having the hosting provider handle the complexities to make sure it's working correctly :)

It is a thing, but it costs money. :) Enterprise level IT stuff.

i can attest to that. i set up our company website with letscert....it took almost a year to get the auto renewal program working right... it wouldn't renew, so id make changes, renew the cert....and have to wait 3 months to see if it worked since the auto renewal program wouldn't renew the cert unless it was within a very short time of the existing cert expiring.
