Would it cost anymore to print on vinyl adhesive? It would be quite sometime before I will have the artwork ready.
-
Unfortunatley yes it would
Vinyl-Adhesive material cost close to double as much as other papers.
I can still do this and at a much more "reasonable" rate than others though.
Basically, the additional cost would be between $10 and $15 more depending on the size of the print.
I am going to update my post with the exact figures shortly
So, for a 24x36 it would cost $35 per print (2-sides = $70)
For the standard size 18x24 it would cost $25 per print (2-sides = $50)
These prices include shipping.
Hope that helps!
Thanks,
John

Here's the first one.
I did this for Pete(pointdablame). Thanks Pete!
I'm waiting on the ok from other customers to post their prints.
I'll post them when I do get the ok.
Any and all comments would be welcome.
Thanks,
John

Cool, at first I thought they were individual stickers!
Who created the design/layout? Was it Pete or...?
Thanks for the great offering btw! :)

I didn't think to ask Pete if it was his design or someone elses.
There is a signature in the top left though....

I WISH i could make something 1/100th as cool as that. I got that sent to me from an art-obsessed friend, so the source is a bit of a mystery to me.
I always thought it'd make an awesome print though.

I'm thinking you meant 25/45/60 cents, rather than 2.5 cents, etc, yes?

That's an awesome rate. I'm definitely looking at this for a special project.

I got my poster yesterday and it looks GREAT!
John is an absolutely great seller. Awesome communication and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks man -- I'm going to look through my stuff for a few other options for printing so you'll probably hear from me again soon.
I'll try to take some pics in the next couple of days and post them here too.

sent you an email for a marquee and control panel -Thanks!

John recently printed up my custom marquee using his new laminated lustre finish on translite. I couldn't be happier with how it came out. Very nice, and a beautiful finish on it. His communication and follow-through to make sure I was happy with my purchase was really above and beyond. I've attached a few pics of it mounted on my cab (yes, that's really the name, and yes, I was going for a high cheese factor, and yes, I'm going to clean up that leftover tape adhesive on the marquee rail from the previous owner). I was able to compare the laminate lustre finish against a regular non-laminated copy, and the difference is major. A definite upgrade that's worth it.
Backlit by 2 cold cathode tubes (blue ones...so this is REALLY blue)
Not lit

These pics don't really do it justice. It's nice. Trust me.

I'm finally getting a chance to post some pics that were requested a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks everyone for your orders!
John
I had missed the images you posted. A strange substitution with a Veritch fighter in the Time Pilot.

Is the Vinyl Adhesive material durable enough for a CP? I'm not going to use plexi or anything to protect the artwork.
-
...
-
You would not want to use the vinyl adhesive without a laminate on it.
I use an Emerytex PVC laminate for CPOs.
The Emerytex is extremely durable and will protect the artwork for a long time.
Thanks for the prompt reply! Maybe I missed this in your initial post, but do you print CPO's and apply the Emertex PVC laminate? If so, what is the cost?
I'll be placing an order tomorrow. How do I get the artwork to you?
-
...
-
Yes I do apply the laminate.
The cost for the vinyl and laminate is based on the size to be printed.
The artwork can be emailed to me.
The easiest way to handle an order is if you send me an email with your artwork and size requirements.
Then I can email you a cost quote.
My email is john@basementarcadegrafx.com
Thank You,
John
Great- email sent!

This is ridiculously gorgeous. I love how deep the black is, very rich dark color. Kinda wish I had seen this prior to ordering from another site - to be fair I printed on film and it was noted on the website that it wouldnt be as dark as photograde paper - that said, I wasnt prepared for my blacks to come to me printed looking almost grey!

I love John's work. I have two items still in their tubes because the projects they are going into aren't ready yet. However, the quality of his work is such that I don't mind getting them early in the process. In fact, John, I might have another one coming your way soon!
-
What material is Translite exactly? It looks real good. How well does it hold up to being backlit? And does it go well with an arcade wedged inbetween some polycarbonate/plexi.
I'm a small local operator and I am redoing a lot of my marquees custom art style.
I'm looking for material that can absorb dark deep vibrant color but still pop out when backlit
