Title: Mortal Kombat bootleg pcb speaker question
Post by: amiga500 on March 19, 2019, 09:26:29 pm
Not sure if this is the right section to ask this, but I would like to know what kind of speaker (ohms, Watts) should I add to this board without damaging it or the speaker itself.
The amp on the board is a uPC1241H, I've found some info that says it's a 5 to 11w amp and that it can manage a 2 Ohm to 4 Ohm load ??
I'm not sure I understand what the datasheet says, so, what is the most suitable speaker I could connect to this board?
Could I connect 2 speakers? How?

here is some info about the amp: http://malzev.tripod.com/comp/upc1242.htm (http://malzev.tripod.com/comp/upc1242.htm)
Datasheet: https://cdn.datasheetspdf.com/pdf-down/U/P/C/UPC1241H_NECElectronics.pdf (https://cdn.datasheetspdf.com/pdf-down/U/P/C/UPC1241H_NECElectronics.pdf)

Thanks!

Hello,

On your schematic, I can See speaker output: 4ohms. It's the minimal value, you can ad.
You can put two speakers but the minimal ohms will be 8hms, because you will connect them in parallel, which make them as a single speaker with 4 ohms load.
and uPC1241H is a mono output
