Title: bezel question
Post by: BORIStheBLADE on July 22, 2007, 08:57:18 pm
So I took all the paint off my bezel and want to just make it black, keep it simple. So what have you guys done to your bezels? Forgot, its glass by the way.

Thanks

My latest bezel is the Defender one cut to handle a rotating monitor.  Sandwiched between two pieces of glass one tinted one not.  Looks good to me.  Got the bezel done @ mamemarquees.

I have checked out the custom ones at mamemarquee.
Did you order a custom one from them, or buy stuff from them to laminate yours?

Just bought an existing Defender bezel in vinyl format.  Nothing to laminate in my case.  I put it between two pieces of glass.  I did have custom side art printed there, came out awesome.

i used to have a piece of black posterboard that i spray painted black, behind a piece of plexiglass.  but i wasnt really happy with it, so the other day, i masked off where the monitor is with blue painters tape, and spray painted the back side of the plexiglass with flat black spray paint.  from the front, it has a very nice glossy finish to it, and it was cheap.  ($5 for plexi, $1 for paint, $2 for tape)

i did the same thing for my control panel, i didnt want to mess with an overlay, so i painted the back of the plexiglass with flat black spraypaint, it gave it a very nice glossy black finish.
