Missing or want access to the Politics and Religion forum? Before you can be given access, you have to jump through a few small and quick hoops:
1. Read the rules (http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade_message_rules.html).
2. Read them again. PnR (Politics and Religion) tends to get heated and testy sometimes. If you can't discuss politics and religion without disregarding the rules of the forum, then PnR isn't for you.
3. Send saint a private message (preferred) or email requesting access to the PnR forum. Unless you've gotten into grief elsewhere on the forum you'll get access to PnR. However, in the PM/email you send saint, you need to summarize what the rules say (don't cut and paste, prove you've actually read them) briefly, and acknowledge that you can debate politics and religion without losing your cool. Make sure PnR or Politics and Religion is somewhere in the title of your message so I can find it easily.
I personally think discussing politics and religion with fellow arcade enthusiasts is interesting and enjoyable, even if the opinions of half the people are just plain wrong (I don't mean yours of course, I agree with yours.... unless you're wrong, in which case I don't!). It frankly ticks a lot of people off however, and sours them on interacting with certain users in the rest of the forum. If this might be you, don't ask for access -- you won't like it.

"I wouldn't say I've been *missing* it, Bob."

That nostrebor's just a straight-shooter with upper-management written all over him.

Ah well, that rules me out ... ;)
-
It took me all day looking at other posts to even realize the P&R forum was even missing. ;D Hmmm, it appears that the only people who would even want to gain special access to P&R are the people that wouldn't be granted access. ;) Good one!

Heh, the only way I would have known that it is not visible to everyone is from this thread... it never went away for me.

But your post count did! ;D

Why did I miss something?
Besides its better that way.
Its so difficult today to make your opinion heard or appreciated without some joker giving you grief for it.
-
sadly I just checked..... it's still available to me.... does that mean I am destined to participate?
time to go put and buy a newer insult book so that I'm properly armed..... ;D

Doh! Guess I'll have to stick to the rule-abiding forums, then! :P

I am sure my opinion is wrong, so I should be more than welcome in Politics in Religion.
Funny, I came back here to see if PnR was still around, and it appears that this is recent. Ironic.

Open the door to PnR, I want to see what the big deal is in there. I did my part, but still no go for me. :dunno
Is it dangerous in there? :P

I dont come here to discuss politics or religion. besides i never agree with anybody.
im conservative but im not religious at all. My dad is the same way.
politics i am about evenly split. i agree or not depending on the issue.
im a future 3rd party candidate, lol.
anyways, its probably better that i didnt even notice that you have a P+R Forum.

It's full of land mines.

There's a tremendous difference between 'conservative in outlook', and 'conservative in method'. One is subjective, the other is not.

I don't, can you make it go away now? :afro:

Heh :)

Politics and religion? Child's play. You really want to stir up a debate, criticize people on their Golden Tee technique. :lol

I left a political forum and came here the next day. The first thing I noticed, literally, is that it's pretty peaceful here. I have no intention of arguing politics at a gaming site. I'm very surprised one exists here.
No thanks, especially this election cycle, because there's nothing really worth arguing for. I'm new here so just my opinion. Politics (and most real world subjects perhaps) and gaming don't mix. **** the real world, I'm here build things and play Galaga!

Yeah, I wish the one on KLOV was hidden in Tapatalk. There's a few guys there who I won't do business with, not because of their political views, but because I think they're ---uvulas---. Never had any desire to join the one here at BYOAC.

Politics forum here was/is full of people with no interest in arcade games. It was the damnedest thing.
:dunno

I remember seeing a few threads the last time Saint opened it up. Naw, not for me.

I used to be the moderator of a P&R forum for almost 5 years, plus I ran my own free speech website. It got to be a huge headache, I'm all debated out. P&R forums are nothing more then places for people to argue with each other. I even switched tactics and took all my P&R to Facebook. I lost several friends. I unfriended no one, but evidently, they did not like my views, did not like being pwned' by a pro who has been doing it for years. But no biggy, they couldn't handle truth laid out with facts and specific examples that blew their ignorant opinion away, then tough. Que Sera, Sera. I have more meaningful things in my life then arguing with old high school classmates.
I tend to avoid P&R forums any more, and I absolutely avoid them when I'm on forums such as this one, or the scooter forums I frequent. I've met alot of cool people. I don't want to harm those relationships by speaking about politics or religion. We all have our own opinions of them, and quite frankly, the best way to keep the peace, is keep those opinions to ourselves. One thing you will NEVER accomplish when it comes to P&R, is changing a person's mind or perception. So arguing P&R, is pointless.
