I was going to havk my amplifier to get the volume knob on outside of the cabinet but now I am thinking about just using arcade buttons hidden on the bottom of the control panel or behind the cabinet. Without using a multimedia keyboard, how do i assign hot keys on my keyboard for volume up and down? There must be a good program out there to do this, right? Thanks

I used an autohotkey script and a shift button on my cab, but my motherboard died in it last summer, so I can't tell ya what it was anymore, sorry. :dunno

Autohotkey can do that...

I got Autohotkey working on my pc. I have attached the script file that I am using(rename to .ahk file). This can be edited to use any key or combination of keys. It also displays a volume bar on the screen which I may or may not remove. It does more than I need it to do but that is OK. This script file need to be dropped into the Startup folder if you want Autohotkey to start and run this script at bootup. Thanks for the advice.
