I haven't been able to view the forum off and on for about a week now. Is it down or super busy, or am I just crazy? I haven't had a problem with any other websites.
-
I've been able to view on PC, but then couldn't on phone.
:I'm tired of the PC, I'll look at BYOAC on phone - wait a minute /back to pc/ that is strange:
-
It was down for me Sunday morning, but it was up again Sunday afternoon.
-
I had to flush the DNS on my laptop yesterday in order to connect to the site. I thought it was down but noticed I could get to it via my phone.
-
DNS has been a bit wonky for me lately.
-
Funny thing is I've had a few problems getting on (Server not found) on my PC but then go to the other system in the family room and it works fine - then a bit later it works again on the first system. And checking Down for everyone or just me ( ( http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ (http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/) ) it always says it's just me so their site can get through even when mine isn't.
-
I had IE specific issue. like couldnt get here on the guestroom PC with IE, but could with firefox. ( I was running windows updates, Im almost never on that PC or on IE)
-
Even Jennifer has been having issues.... And when it does connect it makes be go look for thread replies.
-
Once again this morning --- Waited a few minutes and all is fine again ! :dizzy:
-
Wasn't able to get on using chrome. Able to on IE [yuck].
-
Wouldn't come up in Chrome or Safari on my Ipad while I was pooping this morning.

Having the same issue, same results from downforeveryoneorjustme.com. No clue. Obviously a DNS issue of some kind, but when it's happening DNS queries to my server are being answered. Flushing the DNS cache on my machine always fixes it. Mind boggling so far.

Ran into the same problem again this morning and as mentioned flushing the DNS cache ( ipconfig /flushdns in elevated command prompt - run twice to make sure ) fixed theproblem right away -- also the other system that I have in the family room had no problem getting on (Only difference in that system and mine is I never log in on that system - while I have it set to always remain logged in on this system ) Pretty strange problem to say the least.
-
It's maddening. The same time my web browser says it can't find the server, an nslookup from the command line finds it clear as day.
-
Yeah, flushdns fixes it for me. Had to do it twice today.
-
So far today it seems that as long as I don't tick the "Always stay logged in:" box on the log in it seems to find the site fine (even if I log in and don't log out between sessions) -- and that is the only thing I can think of that is different between my system and the one in the family room ( Family room system has not yet had it say it couldn't find the server) - Not sure why remaining logged in between sessions would have it not find the server but it's the only thing I can find that seems to effect it (perhaps something in the DNS cache combined with the remaining logged in is doing something ) :dunno
-
Today I just kept trying, one after the other.... It connected after 33 tries.
-
ISP roll call? or rather, DNS server roll call?
Ive had zero problems at work, well after I changed the primary external DNS to 8.8.8.8
-
follow up, I do have issues on my phone (AT&T) and the browser says its a DNS issue as well. Probably useless info, but I figured I should let you know.
-
Had to restart my phone, works fine now.
-
Is anyone still experiencing this problem?
-
Not me.... ** Jennifer laughs and dances ** Everything seems to be working now.
-
I have not in the past couple days.

still happens almost daily. glad I'm not the only one.
-
Crazy connection problems across many different ISPs for me lately.
:dunno

I've been having DNS problems for the forum. The main site will work. The forums will show up on a site like "is it down for me?

Same here.
After booting up, both wikis (new and old) and the forums have problems with DNS resolving -- sometimes takes 10-15 minutes and many refreshes.
Once the wikis or forums load, there are no problems loading pages from that domain until the computer is rebooted.

Yeah especially at 1am PST.
-
switching to my seldom used internet explorer seems to work
-
Near as I can tell DNS is being overloaded and not responding. Trying to resolve.
