Title: xpadder and Mame-360gamepad
Post by: clok on April 28, 2009, 12:07:27 pm
Ok, im not sure here but I see in some forums it says Xpadder wont work with the current versions of mame due to some changes. I cant seem to get it working and was wondering if anybody else has Xpadder working with the current versions of MAME? I'm actually on 1.23 64 bit build. I see there are some 32 bit builds that work with Xpadder, but Speed will become an issue then. So, does anybody have xpadder working with a 64 bit version of MAME (older) not current, I dont want to get inot messing with CHD's and such atm.

Or am i making it to hard? MAME doesnt seem to see the gamepad, wasnt the comand to tun on joysticks something like: mame -joy

?

why use xpadder with mame?

for the joy you might create mame.ini by the commandline (not remember which one it was) and then change the joystick to 1 to get joystick support in the created mame.ini.

THANK YOU!!!!!! I havent been working with MAME in about 2 years and I remeber somethng like this but wasnt finding it or info on it. I love MAME and the work they have done with it for no monetery gain is nothing short of awsome.. but Sometimes its lacking in ease of use. I know its not made to make things easy, but finding documentation is not even easy. Such a simple fix and easy one to answer.

Sometimes I make things far more complicated then they are.
