That's absolutely hideous!
It's Iron Man Plastic Boy all over again!
-
It is a little scary looking that's for sure.
For me, AC/DC died when Bon Scott did....RIP
-
Yup, looks like all the other Stern pins coming out. Some high name game title, loads of screen printed looking art, clear ramps so you can see all the art and umm yeah...
-
BLEH. :dizzy:
-
Eww. :dizzy:
-
What happened to the sexy, large breasted women that used to adorn pinball machines? Now they're putting ugly old men on them... :'(
-
Supposedly that huge Angus in the middle will be a window to a lower playfield in the Premium/LE versions.
-
Only $2,000 more for TWICE THE SUCK!
-
One of my first thoughts as well, reminds me of Iron Man.
I don't much like AC/DC, and this pin does not look fun enough for me to over come the theme.
-
I dunno, I'd like one.
Its got some clever references: the hells bell, the fire your gun & the TNT.... pretty sure there are big balls in the trough too.
Is that a kick back above the left inlane or just a weird stopper?
-
That face in the middle of the playfield is awful. And I like AC/DC. :banghead:
-
Everyone that hates AC/DC will never play this game.
People hate AC/DC?!?! :o So UnAmerican... :laugh2:
-
I get super tired of AC/DC. They play it on the radio constantly here and 3-4 songs of theirs in a row and everything starts to sound exactly the same. I love their songs individually but as a collection it gets old fast.
-

Heh, even though AC/DC is Australian? ;)
It's the best band to come from Australia. (And the only Australian band I can think of other than Men at Work and the Wiggles) :dunno
-
INXS was Australian. I can't come up with any others off the top.
-
Don't forget about The Berzerker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Berzerker). >:D Only Australian band I've ever seen in concert.
-
What happened to the sexy, large breasted women that used to adorn pinball machines? Now they're putting ugly old men on them...
+10
-
I wonder if an INXS pin would come with a belt and a lemon slice....
Try not to hate...
-
I get the belt but where does the lemon slice come in?
-
You sound like you speak from experience. >:D
-
Lovely.
-
hideous.
I think this is their worst looking field to date.
-
Really, that is especially awful, just awful. I can't get over how bad that is. Who looked at that and said "oh yeah, that's what we want, nice one"?
It is difficult to play pinball when you have to avert your eyes from the playfield.
-
I am disappointed in the lack of Happy Meal toys. What, they couldn't stick a robot or a shrek on there?
-
When/if they release the version with the lower playfield, I hope they keep the Angus-face artwork and incorporate his gigantic right nostril into a shot.
-
I've always thought 'ya know what these pinball machines need? A gigantic old dudes face right in the middle' great work stern
-
That face looks like a crinkled up Kelly Lebrock magazine ad.
-
In case you all have forgotten...
That 'hideous face' is straight from the HIGHWAY TO HELL album cover.
-
Steve Richie has done way too many incredible games to start putting his name on stuff like this, I really hope he reads the feedback or "gets it" after this pin and tells Stern to stick it and force them to start making killer pins.
-
n case you all have forgotten...
That 'hideous face' is straight from the HIGHWAY TO HELL album cover.
Good thing people buy Music because of CD Covers. Ohh wait...
But uhh, yeah.... I dont think that even ACDC fans would be psyched about that photoshop mess of a copy of a record album 'goof of a sneer' picture. Zoom things out, put the entire band in there... in a nice concert like setting or something.
Its one thing to "Close-Up" a hot model, and quite another, of a dudes ugly mug.
I personally dont care for ACDC. I cant really stand that guys voice. And the songs are cheezy as hell. Take out the singing, and they improve a LOT.. but still are not that good, Imo.
There are so many other Artists that would be much more universally Loved than ACDC.
But then again, Im glad that they didnt get picked... only to be ruined via Sterns resident Craptastic Photoshopper.
Gahh. It hurts to even look at that thing.
-
I guess I'll be one of the few to admit I don't totally hate the look of it. They captured a lot of cool AC/DC elements, and even though I'm not the biggest fan of their music, I think its a much better rock theme than The Rolling Stones.
Regarding the face... Finally something that looks like real old school painted pinball art! Unfortunately, they didn't use that same style for the band pic below and back glass. The inconsistency is jarring.
I think the LE version of this with lower playfield could have looked stunning if all done in traditional art.
-
the le whitewood... :embarassed:

I will also add the custom speech is by Steve himself playing the
devil taunting the player.
The lower hell playfield in lit red when activated, easy 4 mounting
bolts hold it for ease of removal and cleaning.
The back right panel has the band members in motion animated to sync
with the music, drummer drums, Angus does the duck walk....etc.
Back in Black strobes....think AFM strobe MB ;-)
3rd ramp habitrail from left to right to the cannon.
4 different GI sections with color changing LED's in code.
Lower playfield is traditional with flippers closest to the player
(not like HH or BH) standard size 1 1/16 ball with shorty flips.
The LE rails have AC/DC logo and cannons laser cut in them.
-
Man, that is a pretty heavy list of features.
What I want to know is... are any of Bon Scott's vocals in the game?
-
There's a reason most album covers used to get put in a milk crate in the corner and not tacked to the wall.
-
Good News, at least for me.
Bon Scott's vocals ARE in this game!
:applaud:
-
Very German and crappy video of the pro model. But it gives you an idea.
I think I will just play pinball and listen to AC/DC and save myself the $8k.
