Title: can one video card do it all?
Post by: thelevin8r on July 17, 2002, 06:07:47 pm
I am ready to purchace a video card, but am unsure which one will fit the bill. It must have svideo and be a PCI card. I would like to to function through svideo in DOS and Windows, and also be a good canidate for a TV or arcade monitor. Can one card do all this? I read a lot obout ATI cards, would the Radeon 32 MB card be a good fit? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

CompUSA has the ATI Radeon 32MB PCI on sale for $29 with S-video out & includes cables.  It's a great deal.  It was marked in their flyers this week as $100 less a $50 instate rebate but is ringing up as $29.99.  It appears to be a deal at that price.  I purchased one & will be replacing an old 4MB card on my cabinet.

Scott,
Do you use this card connected to an arcade monitor or a TV? If you are connecting to an arcade, do you use windose, dos or both?
