Post by: iori01 on July 20, 2020, 04:51:25 am
Hello all

I have a new setup and face this half speed issue with interlace.
but unfortunately, my windows version looks not supported by the app.

Can someone helps me to have it supported ?
I tried to mail my sys file but always rejected by mail provider.

Thanks for your help.

I would also like an update to newer versions of windows 10, I tried to send the email from calamity15khz and I couldn't. I'll leave my file here, maybe someone can help me. Thanks!

You've tried the alternative fixes Calamity suggests on the site?

From the alternatives I could go back to windows xp or windows 7 (and apply the existing patches), but i wanted to keep windows 10 and v-sync enabled. Or buy a post hd5xxxx card. I have no idea how much work goes into doing the patch, but if it's a lot of work it might not be worth the time spent, as I imagine that not many people are looking for it.

I think that if it's a dedicated machine, the best thing is windows 7 (if your system are compatible)

Windows 10 updates are unpredictable

I more meant trying positive sync for both H-sync and V-sync. If your monitor won't accept it, you might try a simple sync inverter... TBH i'm not sure if enabling composite sync will complicate this.

you could use something like a 75HC04 or 74LS04 i think, and pass (each) sync signal through a single "not" gate?

Yes that should work.

I use something similar with my LM1881 to create HSync from C-Sync and V-Sync.

Although, I have to say, negative sync is generally the standard.

Oh I'm sorry I wasn't aware of that part. I tested it here and it worked perfectly to modify the monitor.ini, thanks for the help!
