Congratulations! Well deserved.
-
Not all what I voted for, but all for damn sure well-deserved and hard-earned. Congratulations!
-
Very nice. Thanks for orchestrating things, Le Chuck! :applaud:
-
Wow!! This is indeed a great honor.
I appreciate it and want to thank all the beta testers for helping me on my software.
This is a great place to learn and share this amazing hobby that we all have in common.
Folks on here are eager to help out and that's what puts this website above most others.
Thanks to all of you!
-
Congratulations to the winners and nominees!
Thanks to Le Chuck for coordinating.
-
Thanks everyone! This is a double honor given the outstanding work of everyone here!
Thanks also to everyone who posts their own work on this forum. Here's just some of the folks that helped motivate and give inspiration to my build:
Bella's arcade - Just an awesome little cade. http://bellasarcade.blogspot.com/ (http://bellasarcade.blogspot.com/)
Shrukenmaster's Tron - Another outstanding example of a mini cab. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=102957.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=102957.0)
Vanillagorilla's Wide Body Taito - Great looking build, and turned me on to some really expensive volcano buttons! :) http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=109040.msg1163773#msg1163773 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=109040.msg1163773#msg1163773)
Also, Ond and PixelHugger for simply raising the bar to ridiculous levels! :dizzy: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=88912.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=88912.0), http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=13118.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=13118.0)

Thanks Le Chuck!
Thanks Saint for a great forum! :)

Congratulations to all the nominees and :burgerking: winners! Your projects are very inspiring!
Thanks to Le Chuck for organizing the contest :applaud:
-
Congrats to the winners! :applaud:  I move that you all be required to add "(The Award Winning)" to your thread titles (or name as in DaOldMan's case). :D
Special congratulations to LeChuck for taking a bunch of off the cuff ideas, arguments and rambling and turning into what I think is a successful award event. I think it'll inspire new builders to turn in some really great machines.
Now I must get to work on something for next year's awards. :)
-
Congratulations to the winners!!! :applaud:
I'm just pleased I was nominated. Never expected that in all honesty. The category I was in ended up really close... in fact only 16 votes separated first to 6th with over 80odd votes cast.
-
Thanks all.  Like Woodshop Flunky I think we've all drawn critical inspiration from lots of the projects here. However, even more motivating than that for me are the comments and encouragement (and sometimes needling) from the members who participate in the project threads, people who've finished their builds and people who may never start. When all is said and done, there is absolutely no chance I'd have made it past the planning stage if it weren't for all the people contributing to my build thread and encouraging me. More often than not, it was the anticipation of posting something that motivated me to get out to the garage when real life demands made it impractical. Likewise it was the fear of proving the detractors right if I failed to reach the next stage of my build.
So another big thanks to everyone who voted and everyone who offered feedback, good and bad, through the build.
Fun hobby. Funner-er forums.

Congratulations to the nominees and winners. Chuck, good job on keeping it concise and incorporating the forum's feedback into the contest.
I still suggest we have a category for most egregious mame and re(clip)art job on a classic vid and that it be cross posted on Klov. Maybe next year - I've got my eye on a mint, working pole position cab. In my mind's eye, it has mario kart written all over it. >:D

Starwars Chair/Cab/Phonebooth will beat it. If that gets disqualified I have this sweet SW cockpit that I'm converting into a hot tub currently. Pics to follow >:D

I was going to convert a working Computer Space into a touchscreen soda dispenser. >:D

Congrats to everyone! :applaud:
So when do we get to see those trophies?
-
Glad to see this happen! Congrats to the Awardees. WTG LeChuck!
-
Congrats to all winners and nominees!

What's the word on the trophies?
-
Congrats guys! Keep up the great work!

What's the word on the trophies?
I recently spoke with the guys over at Nice Carvings. They assured me that the trophies are still going to happen and apologized for the delay. Seems as tho business has been booming for them (great news) but real life has a way of eating up all one's free time. I will stay after them and let everyone know when there is a change.
-
What's the word on the trophies?
Bump?
-
Nice Carvings has backed out of supplying trophies. I am currently looking at good alternatives that I can reasonably finance myself to fullfill this commitment. I know the winners don't care but I said there would be trophies and so there shall be.
-
Dont worry about it LeChuck. There's no need for you to be out any money.
-

Crap. When did this happen?

gratz

I got the final word within the last two weeks. They are blessedly in undated with paying commissions.

Thanks, I have a very small budget. If I can meet it with some semblance of class I'll move forward, otherwise I'll call it a wash.
-
Yea, we've been busy. Not necessarily swamped with commissions, busy mixed with life in general.
Don't count us completely out of this yet. We did cut a proto type of OND's design with our smallest router bit...a 1/32" ball nose. It was looking pretty good, then I dropped the bit and broke it. We will try and do something, ya never know. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up though and disappoint again, as the craziness has not really subsided.
Build on brothers...

Thanks for the offer, but for my vote... I wouldn't want you to spend your own money to cover a deal that broke down beyond your control.
Take that money and put it into another cab we can all lust after!
