What are you guys using to play NES, I used RockNES, VirtuaNES, and NEStopia and I cant get the later two to go fullscreen at start. RockNES does but i dont like it, I like VirtuaNES but I cant get it to start fullscreen, even though I check the fit screen box in settings. On NEStopia I use the following command switches, but it wont load full screen, it does load however, just windowed...
Example: Nestopia.exe "c:\gianasisters.nes" -video fullscreen bpp : 16 -video fullscreen width : 1024 -video fullscreen height : 768 -preferences fullscreen on start : yes -view size fullscreen : stretched
any ideas?

I've been using NEStopia for a while now, and it has no problem launching full screen. Why are you using it as a standalone if you have GameEx?

Im not, im using GameEx, but it wont launch FS through GameEx... what commandline are you using in your settings for NEStopia?

If I remember right, all I did was import the Nestopia settings from the emulator selection in GameEx, while at the same time going into the emulator and forcing the full screen through the options menu, just to be sure. Again, I usually visit these boards at work, so I'll check when I get home.

Did you look in the menu in the emulator?
Options -> Preferences is there you can select fullscreen on startup.....

Quick update: I looked at my GameEx settings, and they're just the default settings when I imported the emulator through their UI. I also selected start in fullscreen through NEStopia to force the emu to run in full screen. Hope this helps. :cheers:
