Hey folks, long time no hear :)
As you may recall (many moons ago), I built Arc-Eden with LOTS of help from you wonderful folks. It was a truly life affirming experience (seriously) and one of the most enjoyable projects I've ever undertaken. Back then, I had a TONNE of help from my older Brother, who, sadly passed away recently.
I've been thinking about doing something else for a long time and thought it would be particularly poignant to retain the name as it reminds me of fonder times with my Bro!
Unfortunately, I literally don't have the time to produce such a cab on my own these days and so this time around I'm enlisting the services of the fantastic www.miniarcademachines.co.uk (http://www.miniarcademachines.co.uk). Daniel Monk owns the company and is also a great graphics designer! To this end, I submitted a detailed brief of a fully 80's inspired design and Dan has come up with a stonking bit of art!
See below for some initial images and I'll be posting further images as we move through the build.
The Cab will be running with a Mini-ITX board, Intel G3258, 8GB, 120GB SSD and 8TB HDD (Hyperspin). Controls will be a combination J-Stick with light up ball-top, Spinner, backlit bezel buttons etc.
More detail and pics to follow..
Take care guys

The Spinner top is temporary and is being replaced by the anodized blue SpinTrak knob:

Looks great, love the artwork.

Nice looking bartop. The artwork is very impressive.

That control panel is super-busy... and I love it because it's "real-world instrument panel" busy and not "'Roided-out-tough-guy-Street-Fighter-group-photo-makes-no-sense" busy.

I agree. I get tired of seeing weecade clones but the artwork on this really makes it stand out. Beautiful theme on this.

I get tired of seeing generic "Arcade" or "Muticade!" artwork. I can tell by the shape of the cab and the buttons and joysticks that it plays arcade games - I don't need to be hit over the head with reminders of it.
I love original themes and concepts. This one is spot on.

Thanks a lot mate, I really appreciate that. Turned out better than I could have ever expected. The artwork is printed on vinyl and laminated before being applied.
I dedicate this cabinet to the memory of my brother, who is sadly no longer with us. He helped me build the original Arc Eden all those years ago and so this is for him
Cheers guys

A couple more - forgot to show off the Bally / Midway logo (inspiration from one of my favourite arcade cabinets ever - Tron!)

Cheers Pal, it's certainly one of the best I've ever seen - all thanks to Dan! I did have come up with the design concept, but it's fully down to his amazing talent that it's been realised in with such a fantastic piece of work!
I'm over the moon with it
Cheers buddy

Arc Eden was the most beautiful artwork ever...I lost some of the files but I think I still have a layered photoshop file..but no text overlay maybe...that machine was beautiful man and will still be the inspiration for my build I can finally complete now that I'm in my new house

I hate bumping this but I'd love to get the artwork/PSD files if available? I would make some changes to not be a complete carbon copy but this is exactly what I was looking for as a new retrowave themed arcade.
