Hi,
Here is a Video Player that uses the same engine/code as MaLa does.
This could be useful for testing you Video's or Plugins.
Enjoy
Download from here:

loadman,
Have there been any updates on the mp4 support?

Hi,
Had a fresh look at it and had great success on two PC's using the following program.
'Media Player Codec Pack'
It loads the ffdshow Video Decoder.

Let me know how you go.

In fact you only need two Filters to support newer mp4 files like Emumovies one:
1 - Haali Media Splitter (to read the container)

2 - ffdshow tryouts - 32-bit (1.3.4500) (to read the new mp4 codec)

CCCP will do the trick too, and is fairly light weight. They used to use a combo of Haali and FFDshow, and have since moved to LAV for both the splitter and the filter.

Just don't forget to turn up the volume on the Video 1 slider in MaLa and waste an hour trying to figure out why you were getting video and no sound. :banghead:

It's been years since the last post but did anyone verify whether the 1.7 video player supports mp4?
