I've got to decide it I would rather have a spinner or a trackball on my CP. I can't have both so I need to pick one or the other.
My instinct is that I can use a trackball in place of a spinner but I could not use a spinner for a trackball and thus am leaning toward a trackball.
Any of the experts have any thoughts on the matter? Which would you go with if you could only have 1?

If you have room, I'd say trackball, because, as you said, you can sort of play some spinner games with a trackball, but not vice-versa.

Trackball all the way.

I have a spinner and a trackball.. I thought the spinner was a neccessity. But, it turns out that I prefer playing the spinner games with a trackball anyhow.
The spinner hardly gets used at all...

Trackball, however you should try and see if you can fit a spinner somewhere on there. The Tornado Spinner has a very small installation footprint, and it's worth a try. I originally was only going to have a trackball on my panel, but eventually the need for a spinner was grinding away at the back of my mind so frequently that eventually I just said "What the heck, I'll put a spinner on there."

Space is probably not a problem but I'm thinking of costs. I can't afford both now so it looks like I'll go with a trackball. I might plan out the CP so I can add in a spinner later if the finances allow it down the road.
Thanks for all that responded.

Definintely a trackball. Not that many games in comparison use a spinner.
