Title: Newbie HAPP 3" Trackball setup
Post by: Wzrd0803 on March 25, 2020, 07:42:37 pm
I was given a Happ trackball by bobbyb13 (Thank you so much!).  It has a six pin Molex connector and green boards.

If I get an Optiwiz 3 and the GGG no solder cable, is that all I need for my arcade cabinet with MAME to use the trackball?

Yes, but you might want to upgrade to red boards, too.

According to the Happ Trackball FAQ (https://na.suzohapp.com/wp/frequently-asked-questions.p?S=Trackballs), pinouts are the same for the old green boards (A052-1010-00) as the new red boards. (A052-1011-00)

What are the pinouts of the Optic Sensor pcb A052-1010-00 and A052-1011-00 used on the trackball or trackwheel or 360 steering wheel ?
These alll use the same Item # A052-1011-00 Optic Sensor Board. The connections are as follows.
    Pin 1 - Output A
    Pin 2 - +5V
    Pin 3 - GND
    Pin 4 - Output B
