Title: T moulding

I got some free samples of 3/4 inch tmoulding from tmoulding.com.  I got this slot cutter set which includes a 1/16 slot bit

but when i cut the slot on some scrap, the samples i got from tmoulding.com just slide right in and out, no force required.   am i missing something or are the slot cutters i got just poorly engineered?

Unless your router has a ton of resonance or the arbor nut is loose my guess would be that the samples are stripped of the barbs so you can swap them around easily to compare colors.

Measure the slot with feeler gauges and the barbs with calipers to see if the slot is too large and/or the barbs have been shaved.

Measured bit with calipers.  3/32 but labeled as 1/16.   going to return and probably order directly from tmoulding.

I have the exact same bit set.  I used the thinnest one and it's a good, tight fit for the T-molding.  The barbs on the T-molding are 3/32, but you want to use the 1/16 bit.
