I am going to use a LedWiz in my cab, and I have read up a little on the support for this in PowerMame. That along with some other advantages are making me lean towards using PowerMame. I was just wondering if there are any drawbacks or disadvantages to using PowerMame?

Well, the only disadvantage I can think of is that if you don't use it your LEDwiz is useless

That's not entirely true, PowerMAME also has 'GPWiz49 Auto DRS', which is not related to the LED-Wiz at all. This and the 'Pause Message' feature are the only extra features that aren't LED-Wiz specific at the moment, though more features are planned.
Horseboy, if you mean does PowerMAME have any disadvantages vs regular 'vanilla' MAME, no. If you wanted to, you could completely dis-regard PowerMAME's extra features and use it just as you would regular MAME.

he didnt say that powermame was useless but that your LEDwiz would be useless (less functional) without powermame
bring on the z-axis fix

Well, here is one reason why I haven't tottally got on the bandwagon quite yet. The earliest version of Powermame you can get is 104. I have heard (and experienced) that newer versions of mame actually run games slower and I'm pretty partial to version .82.
Anyway, I would love to get powermame with an earlier version but I don't think that can be done. Anybody?
However, The features are really incredible in powermame and when it integrates lokki's mirror mame I'll be such a big fan I will probably run out and by the Powermame T-shirt. :applaud:

Totally OT and running the risk of a hi-jack here:
Joymonkey, that icon made my daughter want a monkey! ;)
