Post by: jefferson1975 on November 14, 2017, 09:48:49 am
Hello,

I'm looking to see if anyone has the cables I need to hook up the lighting control unit for the Rowe, R-83 Disco 200.

Thanks!
Jeff

Thanks Alan. Another question... what is proper amp and speaker transformer for the Rowe R-83 Disco 200? Mine has the R-2179A. However, I believe it should have 125 watt amp that has the different phono tonearm plug. I just want to make sure I have all of the correct parts for the jukebox.

Thank you for your help.

Thanks!
Jeff

Hello Jeff,

The correct amplifier for the R-83 would indeed be the 125 watt amplifier (it incorporates an auxillary input/output that the R-2719A does not have).

Thanks Alan. Do you by any chance know which specific model number amplifier was used in this unit? It seems like there are a bunch of 125 watt amps available? Also, do you know the correct model number of the speaker transformer? Thanks again for all of your help. I really appreciate it.

Thanks!
Jeff

Hello Jeff,

Sorry I have only just seen your question.

It does not matter if you use a 125 or 130 watt Rowe Ami amplifier, these all have auxillary inputs/outputs to drive the sound to light units.

The output package should be of the larger type 65 watt rated transformers.

Thanks Alan. I haven't checked the board in a bit. Does anybody have the proper working amp and transformer for this jukebox that they would be willing to sell?

Thanks!
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

The original amplifier would have been the 6-07438-01 with the round molex plugs for the mute and phono speakers.

You can of course use the later 125 & 130 versions of amplifiers but you would need to make up some interface looms, we do offer this service to customers.

Thanks Alan. Just to clarify, I can use a 6-07438-04 amp and a 4-06336-05 transformer? I've seen these available on ebay.  What's involved in making the interface looms? Cost?

Thanks!
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Using the 6-07438-04 amp and 4-06336-05 outputpackage the output package would plug straight into the amplifier.

You would need an interface for the mute and an interface from the speaker socket on the output package to the round plug that goes into the loom for the speakers (the wiring in the loom goes to the cross over board in the back of the jukebox)

Thanks Alan. What would the cost be to create the looms? I'd also like to get the correct plugs to hook up the lighting control unit. If you'd prefer to go offline... please email me at jblasko5@yahoo.com

Thanks!
