I'm trying to figure out why CRT goes out of sync when exiting a 640x 480 (H) 60 Hz game like Street Fighter EX2.
I'm using an AMD Radeon HD 5450 and so far every other game I've tested (which isn't a whole lot at this point) exits back into BigBox just fine. The game displays fine too, it's just when you exit it to go back into BigBox. Any help is appreciated.

Have you stopped and disabled the service called AMD External Events Utility?
-
AMD External Events Utility was running. I stopped it and changed it to disabled. Unfortunately that didn't help.

Create a log per Calamity's instructions (in sig of every post)

I've attached the log.

I have a stupid question. My monitor is a RGB modded consumer TV. Should I be using the NTSC Monitor Preset or the Arcade 15.7 KHz one>
-
Start with the generic_15khz presets.
Hopefully Calamity will have some time soon to look over your log and the exit issue

I'm going to open my mouth and state i reckon this is a front-end problem, and nothing to do with GM. If you open GM by itself, run a problem game, exit, and the PC goes back to desktop at the expected resolution every time, the problem must be with BigBox.
I have very similar issues with a lot of games in Attractmode, for which i use DC2, batfiles and AHK scripts, depending. Doesn't happen in MAME, but a few more windows updates should do it :/

Agreed. It was nagging me before that you reported the issue happening when returning to BigBox. If you can't replicate the issue when running Groovymame directly, outside of BB, then it must be a BB issue :dunno

I tested the issue with GM only and it's the same result so I don't think it's a BB issue.
