Had a few people contact me.  For those looking for graphics please e-mail me.  I have 3 sites I'm running around on so e-mail is easier for me and faster for you.  Hopefully we can get this thread updated with some pictures of peoples cabinets.  Thanks.

Brad was an absolute pleasure to deal with and had a super quick turnaround. I was extremely happy with the work he had done for my CP, Marquee and side art.
Highly recommended.

Oh man, where do I begin?

If you need any side art printed, don't hesitate to contact Lucian045 (Brad). His stuff is QUALITY!!!

I did an initial inquiry, and he got back to me within a day. We went to email by his request for the rest of the transaction, which worked well. I sent him some ideas, he sent me a proof. I changed some stuff up, and he was great about sending me a revised quote.

Now, I have access to a friend who can pretty much do the same thing for free, but I went with Lucian045 because of his rep on Hyperspin and because I really wanted my art to pop (my buddy's vinyl is more for general stickers, whereas Brad's is more durable, commercial vinyl.

He sent me a very reasonable quote for 4 pieces of art for my Macross project (with shipping included). Two regular 18x24 side art pieces, plus 2 "lower" side art pieces that were going to be a little more of a challenge because they needed to be specially die cut. I explained what I wanted, he told me no problem, and I pulled the trigger this Monday morning, paying via Paypal. He gave me updates on the process, and by Wednesday, I had a tracking number, and by today (Friday) I had art in hand. I was extremely impressed with the speed.

The art came in a rolled tube, sides taped and packaged securely. He threw in a felt-edged application squeegee, which was a godsend. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the vinyl. It felt thick, not cheap, not flimsy. The die cut pieces came with premask that I needed to put on, and the side art wasn't masked. I used painters tape to hang the side art where I wanted it, then peeled back a little from the top, slowly working my way down using the squeegee. The felt did a good job of securing the vinyl. The quality of the vinyl allowed me to press out any air bubble immediately. I went slowly, and the whole piece went on with NO ISSUE, NO BUBBLES, NO LIFTING. The same thing happened with the other side. Beautiful, man.

The same thing with the die cut bottoms. I applied the mask to one side, hung it where I wanted, then pressed it on to the cab with no issues. It looks awesome. See my Macross thread for more photos.

Do you ship to Canada ?
I'll be needing to get my Punch-Out bartop stuff printed (bezel, CPO, marquee, side art x 2).
The bezel and sideart would need to be die cut.

If the price is good I'd like to add some Final Fight artwork as well as Bad Dudes.
Get all my cabinets done @ the one time.

So what do you charge for a marquee?

Marquees general run around $25-$35 depending on the size.  They are printed on translucent film which needs to be applied directly to the plexi.

Been getting a lot of PMs from people...please use this email bjbowman045@gmail.com to contact me about pricing.  Using the PM gets confusing to keep track of.  Sending the size of your artwork will get you a quote much faster and your shipping area.  Thanks.

All I can say is: Wow.

I've dealt with a lot of printing companies in my time and Brad's service and experience trumps them all. Seriously, a guy with this many years experience in the industry, AND an arcade builder himself, that's a win.

He was always there to answer my questions, and address my concerns. He Knows his stuff and has a great customer service ethic. Most importantly: I'm picky as hell, and he patiently put up with that. I will continue to do any and all work I need printed through Brad.

Here is yet another example of Brad's AMAZING work.
I hired a Transformers Comic Book artist to design my art work and Brad to print it for me. It has been on my VPin for over a year now and still looks like the day I put it on!

Almost done my build, Thought i'd give the thread a little bump with a new picture of the artwork in place.   The polycarb laminate on the control panel is holding up like a boss! Also looks wickedly authentic. So very happy I used Brad for the art!

I have been working with Brad over the past two weeks for my FFJR cab and he has far surpassed a high quality of customer service.  I received my artwork yesterday.  The artwork was packaged very well.  One color was slightly off on the CP and Monitor Bezel and Brad is working with me to correct it.  I would highly recommend using Brad.

can I wrap the vinyl around the cabinet and install t-molding? something like this?

have you printed anything for weecade widescreen? I need 2 sets. both sidearts, control panel top and front, marquee(translucent material).

let me know how much it will cost me. an estimate will do so. if you dont have the weecade dimensions, I can get them for you.
Title: Re: Digital Printing and Cut Graphics
Post by: Lucian045 on January 22, 2015, 11:19:25 am
You still need to trim the vinyl graphic where the t-molding meets so I am not sure I fully understand your question.  There would be no need to wrap the graphic over the t-molding area as you will need to cut it at the t-molding groove.  I suppose you could wrap the vinyl around to the groove area and then install the t-molding if you didn't want to trim the graphic at all.

I dont wanna trim, I prefer the tmolding wrapping around the artwork like the picture I posted. your material is "flexible" correct?? let me know how much it will cost.

Fastest and best way to get ahold of me is to email bjbowman045@gmail.com with the quantity of what you need and your dimensions.  I need to keep all information in my email as doing business thru PM's is too difficult.  I am on multiple forums and it gets way too confusing.  SNAAKE, you have been PM and please send your info to my email address.  Thanks everyone!  If you have gotten some artwork thru me from this site please post in this thread and share your builds!

I had Brad print my artwork for my first cab after getting several references to him from members who posted in my build thread and glad I did!
Great customer service and quick to answer questions. The vinyl arrived quick and well packaged in a very thick durable tube.
The vinyl is very high quality and was very easy to work. Stuck down great and the quality is awesome!
I will use Brad for any future projects!

Just so I understand, by "Reverse Printed", does that mean printed directly on the backside of the plexi?  or is it vinyl printed on the sticky side so it's adhered to the backside of the plexi?

Curious as well. Thinking of getting a Double-Donkey-Kong marquee for my DK Jr.  I can get the plexi local so all I'd need is the reverse printed image.

Pretty sure he is printing directly to the plexi, so you getting it yourself wouldn't be real feasible unless you lived in the same town due to shipping plexi to him and then shipping it back to you.

Actually the process is not directly printed to the plexi but two different films.  The technique can be a bit tricky however but if someone what's to try it themselves than more power to them.  Over the next couple of days I will have a price, getting stuff ready for Christmas now.  Would like to gauge how many people are interested in full packages like Chance's or looking for reverse printed marquees only.  Please let me know.

So it'd be possible to order the reverse printed films and apply them ourselves?  Say, for example, to the underside of cocktail glass?

What is the advantage of this over translite? This is permanently adhered, right? Anything else?

Yes it can be done for  cocktail, could be a challenge but it can be done. Send me N email and we can talk as that is very specific.

Yes permanent...creates a screen printed look that film on the outside does not create.  Makes it look like it is factory.

I have a background in graphics so the application wouldn't be an issue. I'm guessing you are doing what we've done in the past for similar projects. I'm guessing you're reverse printing on clear and overlaying it with translucent white? We just don't stock a lot of translucent vinyl and it wouldn't really be cost effective for me to order a full roll or two for a single marquee.

Hey Everyone.

So I'm currently working on getting all the artwork together and eventually setting up some sort of website, but for now I will take orders thru email.  Going to make a separate account eventually, but for now email bjbowman045@gmail.com

Package
2x Side Art Die-Cut
1x Control Panel
1x Bezel Artwork Die-Cut
1x Reverse printed Marquee Applied to 1/4" Clear Plastic

Total cost: $215 plus shipping (Payment will be thru Paypal)

Current Artwork:
Chances' Ultimate Donkey Kong
Mario Bros
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Junior
More to Come once I get all the artwork completed.

If you want a custom one or are just looking for a reverse printed marquee or bezel I can do this, but we will need to talk.  Again, email is the best...please do not PM me.  If I don't keep all this in email form it will get way too confusing for me.  If you are interested in something please send me an email.  Sometimes I feel talking on the phone is best, so please leave your cell if you are in the US and I will get back to you if I feel a conversation will be faster than answering your questions in an email.  Happy New Year everyone!

I ordered some 14" round side art and a new CPO for my sister's family cabinet (switching it from single player layout 60-in-1 to 2 player MAME system) from Lucian045 last week. He was very helpful, the "product" was good and turnaround time was quick. Items were well packed. I will post a pic when I get the CPO applied in the next few days. And I appreciate him giving such attention to what I assume is a small-ish artwork order- I will not hesitate to hit him up again for bigger projects in the future. Thanks Lucian045!

Ordered my vinyls from here and Brad is the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---. I suck at Photoshop and don't know much about sizing and vectoring and Brad helped me out with all of it. Was cheaper than every where else and turned out much better than others too. Totally happy with how everything came and will be ordering from him again in the future. Thanks again man! Hi.

I saw the recommendations for digital printing from others. I'm looking for an control panel printout for an arcade I'm building. It will be about 37" x 20" Its a NES theme like below so a little simple. I's also like to get a NINTENDO decal for the marquee. What do you need from me and what is an estimated price for this?

Lucian was great to work with! After our email correspondence, he suggested I give me a phone call to talk through logistics of the art. His insight into the world of vinyl and arcade graphics is well worth the price. I messed up the first time with my marquee and all it took was a quick email to get a new one.  He's super helpful and gives a high quality product. Thanks again!

Promised I'd post about the graphics I got once I finished our projects and danged if I didn't take a year with all the career junk lol.

Anyhoo I'm a first time cabinet dude so I hadn't really anything to go on. I wanted to build something without a stick and with kiosk style controller arms instead using 8bitdo controllers. I have some kiosk 2.0 arms I'll put on later that look a bit cleaner, and I got 1cm off on the bezel due to a fan cutting short the room my monitor had. Not bad though for a first time try on a retropie bartop. I can cleanup the bezel issues and arms but I wanted to get this up here for folks to look at. As you can tell from all that shine on the cabinet these prints are super glossy and nice. And no their is no graphic blurs on the prints. I have a tremor in my hand so it made the long exposure on the cab shot look slightly off. Tremor is awesome for shmups and rapid fire but not so much for camera lol.

Graphics I got were super high quality durable vinyl stickers. No problem putting them on and they were completely accurate without blemish to what I sent him. Plus we also had vinyl sheets of art printed for a seperate card project. My wife programmed some NFC chips to lay on blank playing cards and we got smash bros graphics printed for each amiibo we were cloning to our NFC cards. End Result was the least space consuming amiibo ever in deck form.

Got arcade graphics by Lucian045 a while back - top notch work. Quick question, I got some large reverse printed signs done on 1/4" poly. In case I need any in the future, is that something you handle? No rush on the answer, just whenever you see it. Thanks, Marty
