After a long time I updated the MAME version and romset on my cabinet.
I didn't touch the MaLa settings (v1.739), except removing other emulators.
I work with hibernate, so the computer directly shows MaLa.
In principle everything works fine.
I just have the problem with a splash window "MaLa resuming..." appearing.
When the computer resumes MaLa is shown and the animated layout and music is running.
Just after pushing a button the first time (any key!) the splash window appears. And it stays for a few seconds. Afterwards I can proceed to choose or start a game.
This didn't happen before. In the old setup with hibernate I just had a short, barely noticable screen flicker. I could directly go into a game.
Can I disable this screen ? Can I disable the resume detection of MaLa ?

This is NOT a solution to your problem BUT...try updating your MALA setup to the latest version available: v1.8.2.0

Thanks, but unfortunately this didn't solve the issue.
According to the Log MaLa realizes that the pc resumes from standby and then shows this "MaLa resuming..." window.
Why is that even necessary ?
Can I disable this check ?
Can I suppress WindowsXP "informing" the apps that the pc goes into standby ?
