Title: Donkey Kong game wiring
Post by: albinations on October 03, 2011, 11:25:44 am
Hello,

Can anyone give me a list of the cables needed for an original Donkey Kong pcb?

I got the video cable, sound cable, rainbow cable from mikesarcade.com, am I missing something?

Regards.

Hey Nations!

Welcome to the forum.

Here's my two cents.

In addition to what you already have, you probably will also need the control panel cables to connect the joystick,
the 1/2 player and jump buttons to the DK pcb.

I know the pain of being stuck in a dead end when it comes to arcade restorations as sometimes that kind of info is hard to come by.

I'm sure there are much knowledgeable members on this forum that can give you solid pointers.

Senior members, let's help nations out!  :applaud:

You'll need a coin door cable also.

It would help if you told us your end result.  What are you trying to do with the pcb?  Since this is the restoration section you posted it, can we assume you are restoring a cab?

You don't need an inverter if you're connecting an original DK PCB to an original monitor (Sanyo 20EZ). If you're connecting to something other than the Sanyo, then yes, you'll probably need an inverter.
