Title: 2014 ION Software
Post by: jokerz4fun on May 14, 2019, 07:02:30 pm
Hey guys this might be a long shot but does anybody have the software for the 2014 ION? My hard drive just died on me and unfortunately I don't have a backup anywhere.

When I try to install the 2014 software it stalls on a black screen with "By continuing this installation program you indicate that you accept the TOS of Megatouch's software license agreement" normally there is a blue screen with yes or no option. This time its just a black screen with no option. i have tried using the keyboard and just hitting the y key but nothing happens. I have also tried DVD and usb but both have the same outcome. Any ideas?

Never mind guys I figured it out. Im dumb. The issue was me using a USB cd rom drive. As soon as I switched to a normal cd rom drive everything worked as it should.
Chalk it up to me thinking I could do it the easy way.

yeah, linux used here in the installation is a little wierd with USB devices. once the OS takes control of IO from the BIOS, basically the installation media disappears so it flips out. you have to use hardwired CD rom.
