Title: Custom Grafx Work for hire
Post by: Firebat138 on January 05, 2011, 12:50:40 pm
Again, I go to post a little something see a bunch of people already doing just that....:-)  But in any case...  Here are my specs.

I am a 3D Computer Grafx Designer for over 18 years.  Working as a 3D Modeler for an Arch/Eng company at the moment....

See this link.   www.dbfinc.com/studio3d/pdf/s3dbooklet.pdf (http://www.dbfinc.com/studio3d/pdf/s3dbooklet.pdf)

Got into Mame a LONG time ago and then not....  But REALLY into it now.  Here are a couple of examples of MY cabs

MameGear...  The Theory of Arcade Chaos...  A play on words from my two favorite games... Splinter Cell and Metal Gear... SNAAKE will agree.  :-)

Now, that was my first one and since I have made tweaks, but gotta take some new pics...

Here is my Driving Cab

Speed Racer

And finally my Pinball Cab

Spaceballs  It was Pin Wars... but I like this better... both sides show...  The helmet on Darth was a joke...

My rates are comparable to most, but it all comes down to what you need.  I will tell you, that I am sort of anal and a perfectionist...  So most of time, I spend more time than I should. lol

Also...  This is not really to complete with anyone as everyone has their own taste/talent/expertise etc.  So if any of you other guys get swamped and need help getting a deadline done...Scanning, linework, coloring or whatever...  I would happy to help...  I have some extra time.

You guys can email me at  eric@basementarcadegrafx.com

So thanx for checking this out and if anyone needs anything at all, just give me a shout.

Thanx

Eric

Just a little addition to the thread...  My first commission job for this forum and it turned out fantastic.

I vectorized almost the entire MAME logo, so I may be turning this into a font someday, but here is Magic Man's Marquee

Got three more jobs lined up, so I will be knocking these out soon.  Thanx all who have contacted me and special thanx to Tom, for being the guinea pig.  :-)

Bumping this up for firebat.  I'm the guy who is currently working with him on the mud volleyball event graphics. His communication has been great and still working with me on some final touches.  As you can see on above posts, his work is awesome.  No complaints whatsoever.  I wouldn't be quick to judge him solely on the matter regarding the link posted above.

Lastly, going to get these graphics screen printed on t-shirts.  Will post pics of what they look like when I get them done.

Mike

Thank you Firebat for all your help. For anybody wondering he has been a treat to deal with! Cant wait to get it printed up and put on a panel. The only problem i have now is that the wood work i ordered came damaged and the plexi covering is cut wrong. booooo--urns!!! Hopefully my email to NCC will help sort these things out as im staring at all the parts and i want to start putting everything together.

I'll pay you $20 for a picture of the ghosts holding down Ms PacMan while her husband smokes a cigarette and watches from an alleyway.

You, sir, are a freak...

Wow just leave it to pinballjim to add something completely messed up to a thread.

Did a quick search to see what images were out there to use.  The one off the marquee isn't bad.  Just flip her on her back and stick the ghost behind her right leg.
Of course you'd have to make her mouth open and do something different with her eyes.  Never noticed how friggin' furry the ghost looked before now.

Easy enough to put other ghosts around her and a cig in Mr Pac's mouth.
He should be also be wearing a fedora.

Cash in hand, let me know if you change your mind and venture out beyond clipart discs.

I don't care what your personal kinks are.

"Let me know when you venture out beyond clipart discs" ?

You continue to be one of the most negative and condescending people who participate in this forum.

Nor is talking about rape or racist stuff (even if it is a joke)?

*edit* I guess rape wasn't really mentioned, it could be assumed he meant a situation where she consented and they were just a kinky couple  :dunno

It's not rape, it's a twisted fetish.

ANd I am pretty sure there is an even weirder fetish when it is cartoons.

LOL...  The fact that PBJ would want to actually see something like that hanging on his wall actually doesn't surprise me.  :-)
I continue to be amused at those who would mock someones talents.    You may call this "not stock photos manipulated for print/web ads"  But that's all that was required.  Please do ur trolling elsewhere...perhaps on Vpforums where you are equally annoying.  I anticipate that most of this will disappear like ur other posts...  If anyone would care to have any "Custom" artwork done... Please feel free to call upon me.

Eric did a awesome job on the MAME Star Wars marquee that he posted previously. I haven't had a chance to get it mounted yet, but as soon as I do I will post a pic.

Guys I highly recommend his work. For the money it can't be beat. I can't wait to see the side art he is working on for me.

Paid Eric to design a pinball translite, he put the score reel windows in the wrong location making it worthless. After months of promising to fix it, Eric and his partner John at Basement Arcade Graphx have stopped answering emails. Spend your money elsewhere!!

Eric designed a CPO for me in about may of 2011. he was a treat to deal with and john was nice too. but the file that eric sent john was the wrong one so the CPO wasn't the finalized design and it got printed and sent to me anyhow. Eric was trying to get a reprint for me and then john had his accident. i was in no rush so i totally just let it slide. i asked a few times and he said he was looking into it. I just sent him another email so hopefully he gets back to me. he hasn't been on the forums for about a month so i figured email would be the best way to get a hold of him. not gonna write it off just yet
