Next on the list is a Robotron.

I need to try and understand Robotron better. Seems like everyone but me likes that game. Every time I try to play it I just just get overwhelmed by all the chaotic ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- happening on the screen at once.

It grows on you....

I didn't understand the hubub, and never played it back in the day etc etc.....

But after playing for a while I now have a dual leaf build planned for the future.

You gotta play Robotron on leafs to really get the hang of it. I totally agree with X2 on this point.

Exactly. Once he's hooked he can graduate to the harder Robotron.

I hate unlimited continues. it makes the score almost pointless. if you have enough coins or your in mame and its free you can just play through it. I'm working on a game list of just high score games like galaga donkey Kong ect. Not saying metal slug isn't fun to play through.

There is no option to turn off the continues on Smash TV (even in the Adjustments & Diagnostic Screen).  (I own one).  However, that game is so difficult (and LONG) that without continues it would be impossible to finish on 1 credit.

Nobody has ever really completed Smash TV.  That game gets boring as hell after 10 minutes.

People at the RetroWorld Expo 2015 finished both games a couple of times.  (I have both in my 2 in 1)

Chance, get back in here and get this back on topic!

More specifically, you gotta play Robotron on 4" Wicos. It's a whole other world.

My guess is that it is an alternate-artwork Vega. While the art is different on each cabinet it still matches the same descriptions.

Chance? Is it any chance(!) that you could post pics of your Dangar board(s). I also have one, but I suspect it's a bootleg.
