Title: emulationstation on windows PC
Post by: daywane on March 31, 2019, 10:58:58 am
I am building my own image for the pie. I have learned much doing this.
Anyone did this for a PC here?
Questioning if other ROM sets become usable with more powerful CPU and much better GPU ?

Yes, my old emu box was a Broadwell i3 NUC and it ran PS2 and Gamecube fairly well - slight hangup now and then. Just had to keep them to their native resolutions and not do any upscaling. Upgrade to a Coffee Lake i3 this year and its running everything without a hiccup. CPU is the big deal, GPU is fairly irrelevant for emulation, though it does come into play when you start using shaders and stuff like that.

The GPU is the bottle neck on the pie
N64 issues is the gpu

I am enjoying building my image on the pie.
I like how I am keeping 1UP theme. (I know ....nasty subject here  :dunno) but as I mod each cab I want to keep same theme.
So stronger builds but same theme is a win for me
