Anyone else here recently been contacted by someone looking to sell a rare coin-op? I think it's a scammer, but I have no proof yet.....

OK well they say they have a realtive looking to sell Badlands (laserdisc game). They know it's "rare", but are mistaken on the value (thinks it's worth $4000).

I asked for photos. I'm not interested in the machine myself, but said I'd let people know about it.

If it's from the second cousin of a Nigerian diplomat that has to export it so the government doesn't sieze it, I'm sure the offer is legit!

Well, at one point it WAS worth $4000.  Some people never figure in depreciation.

I think it was a scammer: In my reply to them asking for photos, I also mentioned I know about "rare item scams", and that *IF* they were a scammer, not to contact me any further.

Haven't heard a peep since......
