Title: FS: $15 original xbox modding kit (memory card and 007 disc) - FL USA
Post by: SNAAKE on December 26, 2017, 02:46:36 pm
$15 shipped anywhere in the USA.
one card has the standard softmod installer from xbox 1.0 to 1.5 xboxes and the 2nd card has the files for the "special rare" 1.3 or 1.4 where you couldn't flash the nand with the slayer disc so you had to do it with this other card's save files.

other than that I dont remember much, I am not in the xbox business couldnt answer more questions. buy this if you wanna softmod original xboxes and read up the guides online. it has everything you need. the slayer disc is used to format bigger hard drives, install dashboards, lock unlock drives, nand writing, etc.

I am a bit late the party - I soft-modded two original xbox consoles a few months ago.  Process is pretty simple - even cloned the hard drive to a large one on one of the machines.  All you really need is controller to usb female adapter, and a softmod capable game disc.

Coinops is pretty nice - I am hoping the devs move to the pi or PC as they have done wonders in optimization for the xbox.

I bought several original modded Xboxes and modded 360's from Snaake in the past. Gave away all but one 360 which my boys still love. I should have asked you for another coinops xbox when I had the chance.

You finally using that steering wheel?

I think the Xbox original ( whats with the new name anyway?)
is still a very excellent piece of hardware. There are so many things that can be done with it.
Perhaps you should bring out the point of not only can it run coinops but it makes a excellent media
center for a standard definition TV which can be purchased cheap if not free. I want to make a point to say that HD was
not about better quality but more about our rights being subdued. I still want to have a build based on coinops and would love
to have a modded media center "xbox original" in every room!

not not trying to detract from your thread actually I wish you luck!

oh yeah I had fun with the og xbox for years.  og xbox was the go-to emulation machine before raspberry pi took over!

that was my main swagg then had to sell all the CRTs and everything I had and "trim down" (I still have a lot lol..)
