Title: PowerMAME32 source located. Thanks everyone!!!
Post by: MikeQ on June 09, 2006, 11:30:20 pm
I had some free time and was getting ready to update PowerMAME to .106 and found that MAME32 source is no longer a free download from Fileplanet.   For this reason I'm no longer supporting PowerMAME32 (unless someone wants to give me the source).  I don't use standard PowerMAME (I use PowerMAME32) so I have little motivation now to keep PowerMAME updated.  The PowerMAME build was just an easy by product of doing PowerMAME32.

Sorry guys.

Mike, I would be willing to buy YOU a year subscription.  It does me no good to get it because I would be unable to send you the file.  It's about $40 for a year.  Do you have a Paypal account I could send it to?

LMK if you are interested-please keep PowerMame Alive!

Mike,

Perhaps I can help by putting it online.
The free public servers at fileplanet work for me.
It's just a renewal of your login (it says so in a link on the mame32 site)
"Note: To get files a free File Planet account is needed and needs to be signed in to before initiating the download"
If you use the link you can get a free account for the public servers (if you have one already you can probably update it an activate it again)

You can download the source from  http://home.wanadoo.nl/dna-disturber/Mame32s.exe
if you like.....

I know it would make me happy to see another powermame32 release  :applaud:

But I also understand that there are other things in life that are more important.

No matter what.....I want to thank you for giving birth to powermame.
My cab rocks partly because of your work (Have to leave some credit for myself for building it ofcourse  ;D )

Well I have offered my programming services for the project in the near future. I hope to help keep PowerMame alive still. Haven't heard back from mike, but I think I can work something out to help.

If the Mame32 source isn't freely available then they are in violation of the license.  Last I heard it was still free, but you are required to register for a free account.  If this is no longer the case then action should be taken.

I have a little question for Cameronj.

Have you been able to contact Mike and can we be a little more joyfull about the future ?

With the 0.107 coming up (dual screens and such) it would be a great to hear that powermame is still alive.

The MAME32 source is usually available from the unofficial mirror soon after each release;
