hi guys,
i have an idea for a cabinet with a 16:9 screen rotated vertically. is there an easy way to get 4:3 content to display at the bottom edge? i’m thinking the top could be used to show marquees.
just not sure how tricky this set up would be?
thanks!

For mame you could use the lay files - would just need to figure out the specifics.
LAy file basics on Mamedev - https://wiki.mamedev.org/index.php/LAY_File_Basics_-_Part_I
LAy file generato from Mr. Dos site : http://mrdo.mameworld.info/mame_lay.php

SO your wanting something like this Retropie build ( https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/18140/vertical-16x9-with-marquee-project )
Unfortunately not a lot of info on the process used included there but does show it can be done ! (perhaps see if you can contact him/her for more info.)
