Title: control pads no longer work
Post by: recklessindian on March 10, 2019, 09:36:14 pm
For the first time in many years I've turned on my arcade machine.  It has Mala as it's front end and many emulators running NES, Sega etc...  It has one joystick and many buttons run through an IPAC  and 2 USB contoll pads. The problem is the control pads don't work and I forgot almost everything I learned about MAME and MALA.  I vaguely remember problems when I moved plugs to different USB ports.  Anyway I don't know exactly where and how to set up the 2 USB controllers for MALA.  They are not used to select games, only to play games.   Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

After some trial and error, I believe my issues are not with Mala but with the emulators using controlpads and the pads themselves.   I have found controller settings for my sega emulator(right click screen while emulator running), but not for nintendo emulator.  Also, the start button of both usb controllers is not noticed by computer when assigning button functions.  I thought it was a bad controller, but both?  seems like maybe a different issue
