Last summer I got everything together to HHD mod my fat PS2. Just had a looked throw the old PS2 post here and got some ideas, they were all a few year old now and thought it's a good time to ask again. I love RPG's but never have time for the old stile one's any more, but am still interested. I think what I really want is a bunch of quick play, party, light gun, dance, and shooters.
Always looking to try something new so am interested in what ever you would play on the PS2.
Edit:
To make this more useful for people reading this later, for a while, I'll keep a running list of all suggestions.

I've recently begun playing PS2, as i never had one BITD. I set out to get a handful that i wanted, and was not disappointed.
Katamari Damacy & We Love Katamari - better for parties, really upbeat and happy. Tons of fun
Shadow of the Colossus - not at all a party game, but BEAUTIFUL in every sense of the word. Great to play and worth every second.
Those are my two (three, really) absolute favourites, but don't really meet your criteria.

I was emotionally moved by SotC. I damn near wanted to form a religion around it. Masterpiece.

Only criteria is what do you guys like. I was just laying out my thoughts. Honestly I would rather add a few games that I might not get to rather then only sure things.
I have always wanted to give Shadow of the Colossus a go but have not thought to add it to now. The other two look good as well.

The PS2 plays PS1 natively doesn't it? If so I would throw in Bust a groove (NOT BUST A MOVE), its a dancing rhythm game in similar vein to parapa the rapper.

Why does everyone like that "Heavenly Guardian" game? I have it, based on a bunch of recommendations, and just can't get into it. :dunno

The PS2 can only play Native PS1 games via the optical drive. From the HDD only emulations is posable for PS1.
Added GTA to the list.
