No keys... most economical option?

Okay, so my cocktail cabinet has the locks (bar the coin bucket) but no keys. Would it be best to source another lock (is that going to be easy?) or remove the lock and take it to a locksmith and get them to cut a new set of keys from them? (I've been told this is possible) and if I go for the latter option, how much is this likely to cost me?

What do you mean 'cocktail-style'?

I forget who I ordered from, but I got a cylinder lock (the key 'teeeth' part is a hollow cylinder) so my cab has the authentic look I remember from when I was a 'Arcade Tech' (i.e., fixed coin jams, soldered switches, unjammed ticket mechs).  Anyone that does orders from happ's can custom order you any lock they have.

Highly recommend it.   Worth the 5-6 bucks.

I think I got mine via Divermaster.

I've got to say - I haven't taken a close look at how the locks are constructed - from what you're saying I'm assuming you just replace the cylinder part and the latches stay where they are (i.e. you don't have to replace the whole lot)?

Sorry for the confusion - I didn't mean how made, I meant how do they look externally.  Do they look the same as a normal cabinet lock or are they shaped/angled different?

Regarding the key thing I said - google 'cam lock' and you should see what I mean.  The keyhole is a circle and the key is round.  It's what I've always seen on 90's arcade cabs but...who knows whats stock and what isnt

I've done it on a filing cabinet....I don't know about an arcade machine. 

Not to mention...the OP already said that it's unlocked.

...one other thing - your talking the difference of a few bucks depending on what lock style you purchase.  If, economically, that makes a difference...stop building a cab.
