Acorn Electron Emulation

Hello!

I am currently setting up my PC, ultimately to go inside a cabinet, that will emulate several systems. Chiefly, these are systems I owned in my youth (i.e. old ones!). I've got MAME, Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Commodore Amiga working but....

I've not had any luck with the oldest (and my first system) the Acorn Electron. I've got Elkulator and Electrem working but have to manually choose and load tape images. However, I can't get either emulator to select/load/run a tape image so I can run it seamlessly through the front end I'm using (Mala) or indeed earlier attempts with Hyperspin and another whose name escapes me.

So, has anyone successfully set up Electron (or BBC-B?) emulation through a front end in this way and if so how did you do it? I've searched and tweaked and pulled out hair and still no luck.

Any help or advice will be much appreciated :-)

For anyone interested / with the same issues, I've decided to use BeebEm. It can load Acorn Electron games (including SSD images) and does so with just simple setting up. I'd like it to be an authentic Electron emulator but auto-loading the UEF images on selection has thus far proved problematic from the command line
