Button assignment question
« on: January 03, 2010, 11:40:40 am »
I am begining to wire my control panel and have a quick questions about the button assignment.

I used Saint's book, so I have 7 buttons for each player and 2 on the control panel box itself for flipper buttons (see the picture).  I am driving everything with an Ultimarc I-Pac.  The I-Pac allows for 8 buttons per player.

So what is the correct way to wire it?  I looked in the book, but I couldn't find it (the problem with a year 2 project).  I believe, I can re-map as needed in MAME, but I would prefer to try to make everythng as simple as possible.

So, I was thinking....

and doing the flipper buttons as player 1:
1            2

Yes?  No?  What has other people done?
