On a higher end (for the day) set with a decent source, svideo looks marginally better than composite. IMO the difference is unlikely to be night and day. |

Depends on the device and quality of the television. Take a Super Nintendo for example, plugged to a new high quality CRT, and you'll see it's sharper with SVHS than composite. But I'd assume that hooking either cable up to a cheap TV will look pretty much the same (that is, not as nice as the quality TV! ;D) |

On my 27" TV, S-Video is a great improvement since it eliminates composite dot crawl and is shaper. Only my digital cable box is on S-Video though, the game consoles I do on component and it's lovely, bright and sharp. :) |
