Wonder Boy Side Art
« on: December 09, 2009, 12:24:12 am »
I'm not sure what the dedicated side art for wonderboy looked like, I think it might have been generic sega logo's, I've seen many choplifter conversions etc, I'm thinking about going with some custom side art. Personally I think that the c64 box captures it pretty well.. I think this game was a kit - only game distributed in the US.

I'm excited to finally have a dedicated wonder boy added to my collection! Although most of my memories of this game remain on the NES "Adventure Island".

In terms of cabinet art I've seen this:

Willis bootleg overlay ? :

Longer Instruction card(maybe some one can clean this up / print it out for me on adhesive?):

Generic BLUE Sega control panel overlay (Which I have already purchased) I'm pretty sure that these were the ones that were distributed in the Wonder Boy Kits, Should look like this:

I know the one at funspot uses a choplifter control panel overlay:

large Sega Logo's for the side art, kind of boring which is why I would prefer custom side art from that c64 box, but likely this is what was distributed in the kits; should look like this :

I love Wonder Boy but holy crap is that ugly art!  I had no idea it was that bad.
