Boy oh boy, this old Tetris is pretty unforgiving--the pieces are reeeeally sticky!  As soon as your piece touches the pile, it's stuck.  Most later versions of Tetris allow some slippin' 'n' slidin' for a moment after your piece touches the pile.  Harsh!


On my 2nd game, 74, 230.

Hey mimic, how did you manage a score of 19,587?

We're playing on medium difficulty, so you get 20,000 points just for hitting the start button, my friend!   ;D

Actually, the medium difficulty is the default internal difficulty setting (which can be changed by hitting F2 to access the service mode, and change the difficulty in there). It has nothing to do with the level you start at. In fact, you have the following listed in the rules: "You may freely choose your starting level" :)
