guys, I just ordered some cheap second hand wiper motors :D

I think I need that typical motor/gear sound in my virtual machine, like medieval madness drawbridge,  addams family bookshelf or rudy's mouth motor  :lol

let's test it out and see how that works ;)

Hey guys, had a crazy idea...
Can a fourth monitor be added on top of the game to show a 'pinball topper'?
It could have an animated series of pics to simulate interactive lighting on toppers like Addams Family and Whitewater, and just still images for others, but even those could be brought to life if desired.
You could still have these crazy LEDs behind the monitor to give the lighting effect as well.
Just a thought!

Love this project, and would give my right leg to have something half as good as this

What software are you running with the LEDwiz ?? It may be listed somewhere, but i cant seem to find it

I also agree that there should be an LEDwiz topic where people can share there code, I for one have no idea on programming, and any help would be great. At the moment it is just a bit of trial and error

Great work  :notworthy:

got my new dualbridge driver today!
works like a champ, even at very low Intensity (I14). I love it!!

with this pwm dualbridge board you can do awesome custom mods with your shaker, which are not available on the real pinball machine.

for example medieval madness

- troll hitt: mini vibration (500ms shaker @ 50%)
- castle destruction: earthquake (4000ms shaker @ 100%)

here is a short vid

fully installed ;)

going to be my new highscore on scared stiff :D

this table rocks and the gameplay is fantastic, very close to the real machine! JP did a brilliant job on this new scared stiff version!

I think with vp shaker (shaker crate and strobe laboratory) and all other ledwiz toys this table makes more fun than the real deal :D

this sharp tv screen is really nice for virtual pinball. ball movement is silky smooth + nearly no input lag and an awesome viewing angle.

thanks for the good words guys  :)

i looked for good viewing angles and response time. so i found the sharp screens with its "advanced super view" (asv) lcd-panels. sharp did a very well job, i am absolutely satisfied.

if you choose another brand, look for a very small bezel, otherwise the screen won't fit in a standard widebody cabinet.

here are some mounting pics, there is no space left in the cabinet.

Not being much of a woodworker.  What did you use to get the clean cuts on the sides for the playfirls monitor?  Are the siderails wider than the originals to cover it up??

you can use a router for a clean cut. the siderails are a bit wider than the originals, to cover the monitor.

Thanks!  Did you fab your own wider siderails?  Where did you find a 30" LCD?  Everything I am coming up with is 32"  DO you think any chance a 32" panel might fit?  I am near obtaining a Judge Dredd shell and am going to use this thread as my guide for the build.

I use NOS old bally/williams EM siderails to cover the monitor.
You find 30" lcd's nowadays only via second hand. check ebay for it. If you go the 32" route, you need to build a custom backbox for it.

Okay, hooking into the game events just ups the possibilities to a crazy level.  Now the customizations, with a basic framework of hardware, are nearly limitless.  Shakers, RGB LEDs, this is just amazing.

I really need to get through my project queue so I can build one of these.   :notworthy:
