| Connecting Happ trackball to MiniPac |

How do I connect a Happ 3" trackball to a MiniPac? I was thinking that the harnesses on each would connect, but that doesn't look like it will work. I assume that I need to cut the harnesses off and connect the right wires together. I see the wiring diagram for the MiniPac, but I can't seem to find what each wire out of the trackball is... Any help would be greatly appreciated. http://www.happcontrols.com/trackballs/560100xx.htm http://www.ultimarc.com/mp_inst.html Thanks! |

Thanks! That helps tremendously. So, instead of soldering the wires together, can I get male disconnects for the trackball ends, female disconnects for the minipac ends and then just connect them together that way? |

Sure you could do that (ensuring no bare connectors are free to bounce into each other). Seems soldering would be easier. Better yet, why not crimp a 6-pin female connector to the minipac wires to mate up with the trackball harness? |

That's a much better idea! :applaud: Would a Home Depot / Radio Shack have that type of connector, or do I need to get it online some place. Google didn't seem to come up with much. |
