Zinc Help Please
« on: July 19, 2003, 05:22:19 am »
i decided to load on zinc today, i got it running form mamewah all i did was made .bat files for each
game and pointed to them in mamewah.

d:\
cd
d:\Zinc
zinc.exe 1

im tired but its something like that but diffrent # for each game of coarse.
my question is...
is this a good way to run it? i tried the howards wrapper and i must be stupid i couldnt get it to work..
also can i set up individual controll settings for each game?

i tried make say for sfex2 set my keys for it and rename to sfex2.cfg and then in the bat i did..

d:\
cd\
d:\Zinc
zince.exe --use-controller-cfg-file=sfex2.cfg
zinc.exe 4

i did that in a bat file but it still uses the default controller.cfg setting...

anyone able to help me set this up correctly, or atleast get the controll thing going?
seems to be loading fine but if the bat file idea is bad in someway please let me know.

-thank you

Set Zinc up useing zincfe gui first! This will make all the neccessary *.cfg files for zinc for you. Then just run "zinc.exe #" from mamewah without the cmd switches youve put in the *.bat files or use this method http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=9513

Look for a past post of mine, I showed my wrapper config.  For me the wrapper pretty much worked as was.
