Problems with my LEDWiz
Dudeman:
I didn't mean to say that you didn't give any suggestions or weren't any help... just that I was the idiot who probably broke it. I could have stated that better.
I intend to extract it from it's cocoon of wires this weekend and try it again, but I'm very confident in my abilities to break something.
My parents wouldn't let me play with anvils for that reason.
Franco B:
When you put it back together try to mount the LED Wiz on top of the wiring if possible. It makes it much easier to use a meter to check connections etc.
Dudeman:
How many connections do you have in each of those boxes? I see you are driving the LEDs of the USB power from the LEDWiz board.
Franco B:
All 32 ports are used.
There are four 15 pin d-subs in each enclosure. I used the top row of eight pins from each d-sub for the 32 ports and I bridged four of the seven pins in the bottom row to supply the 5v to each bank of eight.
Yes you are correct, in the pictures they are configured for 5v from the USB but I have bridged the 5v input wire since then.
