Price for these will be £25+ post.

Naomi/NAC instruction space strip covers

They are routed to size, polished and drilled were appropriate.

Price is £8 + post

Shipping prices.

Shipping prices can vary so they may change slightly. I make no money off shipping + packaging so you pay what I pay. For some larger international orders I can only post every couple of weeks as I work shifts and I need to be in to give them to the courier.

I will try my hardest to get the best shipping price for you.

All marquees are shipped in bespoke double walled boxes and wrapped very well in small and then large bubble wrap to protect them.

If you wish to order one feel free to PM me or post in this thread.

I'm now taking orders for Namco Cyberlead + Sega Aero City (both Euro and Jap style) marquee holders.

Aero City (Euro Style):

I have the Euro style Aero City example complete. It was produced using a OEM holder but my repro is of far superior quality.

My repro is at the top the original is below:

The original looks frosted because the original protective film is still on it.

To be honest the quality of the original is pretty disgusting. The profile has been routed out and then flame polished. Because of this you are left with a glossy but rough finish:

Other parts of it have just been sawed and then flame polished:

As you can see the quality is pretty awful. I was going to semi hand polish mine and then flame polish them. I tried this method and you do get a good finish but IMO its not perfect so I have decided I am going to hand polish mine fully to a high gloss shine. It adds about an hour to each one but I think the results are worth it.

Here are pictures of the same parts of my repro:

Much better I'm sure you will agree :)

Due to the amount of time I am spending on these and increased material costs to get them perfect I will be charging £60 each for them.

Aero City (Jap Style):

I also have the Jap style ready for ordering.

Repro on the left, original on the right just for comparison:

Once again the quality of the original was pretty bad. My new ones are much nicer.

I was concerned about the radii in the corners and it looks like I was right to be worried. I spoke to an Aero owner and he kindly took some photos of his original holder mounted in his Aero. As you can see the holder sits flush to the cabinet and the radii that I had on the 1st Euro holder would foul and not fit properly.

I decided the nest thing to do would be to recess the corners slightly so that they will sit flush whilst the rest of the sides will keep it central for mounting:

Final picture for comparison. Once again mine is on the left, original on the right:

I will relief the Euro holders in the same way.

Price of these Jap holders is the same as the Euro ones, £60 each.

Cyberlead:

I also have the Cyberlead holders ready to go:

Price of these will be £25

As always all holders will ship with the correct mounting hardware. I'm just confirming whats required at the moment.

I am getting a load of current orders done over the weekend and I'm planning on getting the hardware ordered ASAP to hopefully get everything shipped next Friday (18th) on my day off.

If anyone wants one shipping next Friday can you let me know ASAP so I have as much time to get them done as possible.

Thanks :)

What are the dimensions on that thing?  Now I have to start thinking about some art to go in there.  Probably an Xmen Vs. Streetfighter marquee, seeing as how that's the only CPS2 game I have at the moment.   ;D

Haruman, the cheques in the mail ;)

Super Neo 29 example complete  :D

Lets play spot the difference.

Original shot front:

Repro front shot:

Original rear shot:

Repro rear shot:

Original clasp detail:

Repro clasp detail:

The original uses these big fugly plastic bolts:

But I'm using small stainless screws like my other holders:

These holders are easily the most complex ones I have done so far. I don't know what SNK was thinking when they made them but they are completely over engineered. They consist of a front sheet, a back sheet and two other parts which make up the clasp:

The clasp pieces are bonded together and then the two pieces are bonded to the front sheet.

The only minor niggle with my repro is that there are some bubbles between the clasp and the front sheet due to the chemical I use to bond them together. There isn't really much I can do about them but you can't really see them. That section faces the back of the cabinet anyway so you wouldnt see them unless you crept round the back of the cab and stared at it   I presume the original pieces were UV bonded.

You can kinda see the 'bubbles' here:

They have been a lot of hard work but I'm really happy with how they are coming out. I am making a few for the guys in the US but I should have a couple spare if anyone wants one.

The price is £60

Final 2011  :bump

With the cold weather coming I'll most likely not be doing as much plastics work over the coming months.

I'm planning on doing one last materials run this week so if you are after anything for the rest of the year or so then let me know in case I need to pick up materials that I don't have stocked.

Thanks  :)

I have not seen a marquee holder for an Exceleena Blue but I recently shipped a Exceleena 2 holder to a customer with an Blue and he said it fit just fine.

The mounting bolt spacing on the Blue is the same as the 2 which leads me to believe Namco used the same marquee holder for both machines.

If you would like to order one feel free to PM me on here or send me an email at francoscustoms(at)gmail.com , thanks  :)

Hi Darren, apologies for the late reply, I've only just seen your post.

I'm afraid I've stopped working on plastics for the time being whilst I concentrate on wiring work. I'll most likely be doing plastics again in the spring next year.

Sorry I can't help out right now.
